LETTER: Apologies from Sigma Nu

As a member of the Sigma Nu and as its president, I want to personally apologize for the incident that took place at Saturday’s football game. I especially want to apologize to the Spirit Squad. What was said is inexcusable and I hope that no permanent damage was done. To the students around us at the game and to the student body as a whole, I am sorry for our behavior. I am also embarrassed to admit to our alumni that we have committed such actions.

We have learned that the actions of a few have dire consequences that affect the many. We, as members of Sigma Nu, do not condone this behavior and the proper actions have been taken to remedy this situation and to prevent it from happening again. Once again, I apologize on behalf of Sigma Nu Fraternity and I hope we can make this up to the Spirit Squad, the student body and our alumni.
