Letter: Bike program will work
Editor,
This is in response to the article, “Students discuss bike program for USU”, Friday, Sept. 10. I was a student when the campus bikes, or Aardvark Bikes, were used as free bikes in the 1980s and I agree that it wasn’t sustainable because no program or organization was responsible to maintain and oversee the program.
Both the Campus Recreation Department and the Outdoor Recreation Center are very interested in overseeing this program. We have the space, the knowledge and the passion to see that bikes are fully integrated on the campus of Utah State University. I urge the interested students to contact me directly at kk@cc.usu.edu to start working on the program.
