LETTER: Can’t hear the band

Editor,

Now I realize the band and its director have come under a lot of fire because they run onto the field and apparently don’t have their music memorized. Frankly, I couldn’t care less whether the band runs or not or if they have their music memorized for one reason.

That’s because I can’t hear them playing during the game anyway. The band sits in the end zone playing to the score board and even then they don’t play, they just sway left and right like a fart in the wind.

They should be sitting in the southwest corner facing the students and other Aggie fans. I’m tired of hearing opposing teams’ bands and not my own.

I realize the Athletics department may lose a little money if they move the band, it needs to happen. Besides, by sitting in the end zone, the risk of a football getting lodged in a tuba is far greater, and then the tuba player won’t be able to dance around like an Oompa Loompa on crack during half-time. So, move the band and let us hear them. Maybe then we’ll be better able to determine if they suck and if they need a new director.
