LETTER: ‘Celebrate America’ auditions

Editor,

I want to alert all performers, singers, dancers, comics, etc. They have the opportunity to participate in Cache Valley’s premier entertainment experience of the year in the “Celebrate America” show. It’s a great chance for them to perform with a first-quality Broadway-style show.

Many of us loved the former USU Glenn Miller Show and were very disappointed when it was canceled. The “Celebrate America” show is an effort by the community to continue with an evening similar in entertainment: dinner, big band dancing and a spectacular show. Please help us to scout talent from the students at USU.

We encourage you to audition this month: March 20 from 6 to 9 p.m., March 22 from 8 a.m. to noon and March 28 from 5 to 8 p.m. Auditions are at the Greenville School in North Logan.

Needed are six male singers and dancers, six female singers and dancers, 12 female dancers, a middle-aged male trio, characters Bob Hope, George Burns, Gracie Allen and Miss World.

All performers must appear youthful (college age). Call 753-1551 for an audition appointment. Also needed are stage manager and set manager. Thank you for your help in recruiting the best.
