LETTER: Clarify stadium food policy
Dear Editor,
What is the current policy regarding food at Utah State University football games?
My friend and I attended the WSU game last week and were denied entrance because of our Subway sandwiches. Then we watched in disbelief as the four female gatekeepers allowed many others into the stadium carrying food. One woman had a Styrofoam container, the kind used as a doggie bag at restaurants or for Chinese food at Smith’s.
Another lady had a plastic sack full of food. The only other person who was told to eat his meal outside of the gates was a man with a burger from Burger King. Does the policy only permit generic food? If it is from a nationally recognized chain, then it is not allowed into Romney Stadium? I would like clarification on the rules.
If the rules need to be improved, I would appreciate that even more. Please alter the policy so fans are not forced to patronize the high-priced concession stands to appease their hunger. How about it, recently elected student government?
