LETTER: Coverage unfair

Editor,

I enjoyed your article in Friday’s edition titled “Candidates walk thin line of infringement.”

It addressed real election-based issues that have been occurring at Utah State for years. However, representation of selective ASUSU candidates on the most important day of elections — the day the voting booths close — does not provide equal advertising for the remainder of the candidates who actually followed copyright laws.

Even though your reporters addressed a valid concern and problem, the same attention should have been directed to those candidates who used their own creativity and design skills to get their name and platform goals out there.

Isn’t that what elections and government are all about? In the future, please consider timing and equal representation when choosing to run such an article. Thank you.
