LETTER: Enjoy social college life
Editor, Here at Utah State, I have had the pleasure of hearing so many students whine and complain about how they have failed this class or that, or how they only got an 80 period on a test. I then ask them what their GPA was in high school, and it’s usually between a 3.7 and a 4.0. I have no sympathy for them at all. “Welcome to college.” That’s just awesome that you were that smart in high school, and it sucks that you aren’t doing too well in college. I have failed more than one class, and 80 percent on a test for me is incredible, but I have a life, and I have fun. Sure it’s important to do well, but Id rather have fun during this time of my single life, than spend countless hours of studying and lose any social skills, so that I can get an A in a class. Social lives and friends will teach you things that the 3.7 will not teach you. Quit sweating over classes, and have some fun.
