LETTER: Hmm. No ‘Not Gay’ Days?

Editor,

I am writing in response to putting Michelle Spradling’s article on “Coming Out Day” in the paper. It was very interesting, however, in the article, Kevin Allred said “… We [gays] just want to be treated equally,” and I am a bit confused. There aren’t any “Not Gay” days, so if they want to be equal, they should drop the day. There also aren’t any articles about people who admit to being non-gay, so in this principle of equality, there should also not be any articles about people who do admit they’re gay.

Also, Cy Martz said that “… homosexuality is OK.” Now, who decided Cy Martz has the final word on what is OK and what is not OK? I am sorry if I have offended anyone, but I get offended all the time, so just learn to deal with it.
