LETTER: Keep it under wraps
To the editor:
The snow’s gone, the ice, the freezing morning wind chill. Spring sunshine is flooding in, turning nature’s turbines, generating energy in biological systems. Yet, despite spring’s song of life and resurrection, I mourn. I mourn because of something I sorely miss about winter. I sorely miss the modesty. Colder temperatures somehow encourage us to dress more warmly, more wisely, more modestly. Perhaps we no longer need the fleece and wool of wintertime to keep our bodies warm, but let’s keep enough clothing on to keep our hearts warm.
