LETTER: Letter was only to bash church
Editor,
Mark Ellis letter “Cox a traditional Utahn,” was unprofessional and stereotypical. I was surprised to see such a blatant attack against members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It appears that Mr. Ellis has antipathy toward the church and he has exploited the issue of homosexuality to bash the church and its members. If Mr. Ellis had been writing in defense of homosexual rights, he might have been critical of the late Catholic pope who opposed homosexuality. However, had he addressed the pope or other religious leaders, Mr. Ellis couldn’t have conveyed his aversion toward the LDS people. Finally, Jon Cox, don’t flatter yourself. It’s not necessary to publicly display your mission. Doing so opens the doors for unneeded and impulsive criticism.
