LETTER: Look deaper into meaning

This is in response to the Our View in Friday’s Utah Statesman accusing the College Republicans of hypocrisy. When the strongest activist group on campus does something, I encourage you to take a deeper look into its meaning. You need to understand that activities are planned and the response is calculated. Now ask yourself a couple questions. Why would the College Republicans so blatantly imitate Pride! Alliances’ Blue Jean Day? Could it be that they were heckling more than just John Kerry that day?

  Sometimes I think to myself, “That poor editing staff, I wish I could tell them it’s OK to be emotional liberals, immediately reacting and writing before giving it any thought.” But, it’s not OK.
