LETTER: Make your voice heard in Darfur
To the Editor:
Whether you call the tragedy in Darfur genocide or not doesn’t change the facts. 400,000 people are dead, and more than 2 million innocent civilians have been forced to flee their homes to refugee camps. With more than 3.5 million people relying on international aid for survival the U.S. government needs to step in and help end the suffering. November 15th is the national call-in day for Darfur. Join with students all over the country and call your congressmen to let him know you care about what is happening in Darfur. To contact Orrin Hatch call (202) 224-5251, or Jim Matheson (202) 225-3011. With a quick phone call you can help save lives in Darfur. We can make a difference! Pick up your phone!
