LETTER: Much ado about laptops

To the editor:

 As long as the audio is off, there can’t be that big of a distraction to warrant prohibiting laptops in the classroom.

    Further, a university education should be more about learning how to learn than mental bulemia or perpetuating some professor’s peeves. Some of them may really need a “fact check.”

    Maybe it is more about the instructor’s “need for attention” than a concern for distractions to learning.  Even for those who use it for e-mail or Facebook. Who paid the tuition?
