LETTER: Protestor story had other side

Editor,

I read Richard Corley’s letter in Wednesday’s Statesman and couldn’t keep myself from writing in, as well.

While I agree that calling conference goers “liars, deceivers, seducers, and worshipers of Satan” is probably not the best tactic of protest, I must disagree with the key point of Mr. Corley’s letter: one-sided coverage. After four years at Utah State and more than two decades in Utah, I must say it’s refreshing to see an article in the student paper at a state-funded university that gives another side of the story. So, if Mr. Corley wants to argue that the “protestor story” was one-sided, he obviously must have missed the front-page article recapping and honoring General Conference, because that lead story is the other side.
