LETTER: Quarterbacks need switchup
Editor,
As the last home football game creeps up on us students here at USU I hear of a quarterback controversy. The controversy is that we need a real quarterback, or a new coach.
For some weird reason, that I can’t figure out, our beloved coach has failed in playing the best players. Our starting quarterback has thrown for eight beautiful touchdowns this season. On the other had he has also thrown for 13 beautiful interceptions. I am not a football player, but I do know that 13 interceptions is not good!
We can conclude that USU has a quarterback who is struggling to find his game. Maybe it is time that we bench No. 4. Even the great Micheal Jordan took a seat on the bench when he was struggling.
I am a senior here at Utah State, and I want my last football game here to be a memorable one.
I want to see a quarterback who goes out and shows that he is excited to be on the field. A man who, after every throw, points up to the sky and gives thanks for the opportunity to play for USU. I want to see someone with spunk! I want to see No. 7.
Even though he is a freshman, he has shown us fans that he is excited to be there.
Leon Jackson III you are my hero for backing up No. 4! I will see y’all at the game, I will be the one with a paper bag over my head that says “Worst Quarterback Ever!”
Bobby Jackson
