LETTER: Rudeness in the name of religion

To the editor:

Last week, as many of us are aware, there were some Born-Again preachers who came to spread the word. They criticized the LDS church some and for it received a great deal of rudeness back at them. During their speech USU students yelled at them, laughed at them, and were generally inconsiderate. The preacher told us he’d been around the country and had never seen more arrogance than right here in Logan. He’ll surely spread around just how mean the Mormons are. Now I don’t know just how much of Born-Againism is true but this much I do know, the states where this gospel is respected boast better mental health than Utah. They have lower suicides among young males, lower bankruptcies, less Prozac use, and greater general contentment and satisfaction with life. In short, They must be doing something right.
