LETTER: Seniors don’t need to push my cart

Editor,

Why, as an able-bodied 22-year-old, when I go to Wal-Mart, does a woman, who appears to be 80, fetch me my shopping cart?

Seniors deserve better. They ought to be placed on a pedestal. Children, churches, and government, if all else fails, have a moral obligation to step in and ensure that seniors live comfortably and securely in the twilight of their lives. Heaven knows that the freedom, economic prosperity and peace we enjoy today is a result of their sacrifice and hard work.
