LETTER: Straight from the crapper
Editor,
I am writing about an article printed in your Friday paper that really stood out to me. I don’t remember the exact title of the piece, so let’s just call it, “The stupidest newspaper article ever written.”
In said article, the long-debated argument, toilet seat: up or down, was addressed.
I was truly amazed at how many derogatory stereotypes were aimed at the female population. Women were described as deceitful, intimidating bullies whose only joy in life is to brainwash and dominate our men by subjecting them to silly rules, such as leaving the seat down. I realize this all was meant to be really funny, but I actually lasted paragraph after paragraph to finally discover at the end that the author admittedly spent only one hour writing the fluff.
Do you actually read the columns you print, or is the pressure of every-other-day deadline getting you behind schedule? This is college, you guys, C-O-L-L-E-G-E. Try to take it a little more seriously, and leave the battle-of-the-sexes crap where it belongs.
