LETTER: Take care with salaries

When your readers look over the chart detailing professor’s salaries printed in the Jan. 29 Statesman, I hope they read the fine print. These are the HIGHEST salaries paid in the colleges — they are the exceptions. The average salaries, or better yet the mean salaries, would provide a more accurate picture of what faculty members typically earn.
