LETTER: Thanks, Aggie basketball
Dear Editor:
I just want to thank the Aggie basketball team. I especially want to thank the Aggie seniors who capped a two-year miraculous run with Thursday’s win. Hopefully, Tuesday night in the Spectrum you were honored in a way you deserve with a big pep rally. Although we didn’t pull it off against UCLA, you guys are still the best. It was remarkable the coverage that we gained with the upset against Ohio State.
People wondered how Rock and the others ended up in Logan, and where the heck is Logan, anyway?
It was a fun run this year. My highlights were beating Utah (what sweet revenge), beating UC Irvine here, and even though we lost, I went to the Boise State game in Boise, and we cheered our lungs out, and it was still a great effort.
For me, the culmination of a great year was seeing the team in Anaheim at the Big West Tournament championship game.
They looked tired from three games in three days, but we pulled it off. And when Brown hit the shot to send us into overtime against Ohio State, I think everyone in Aggiedom was jumping for joy as we overtook them in overtime.
Again, thanks for the memories, and we hope for continued success under Stew Morrill’s helm.
