LETTER: Thanks to the sports fans

Dear Editor,

On behalf of the Utah State University student athletes and coaches, I want to thank our student body for its outstanding support of our athletics teams. Student fan support is essential to successful programs and our students have been awesome. Our players very much appreciate the noise and numbers of our students who cheer them on throughout the games.

The noise from the student section had a big impact on last week’s Homecoming win, and we could not have won 58 of our last 61 home basketball games without our great student section.

Our university has an opportunity to set an all-time football attendance record this year and we encourage you to attend the Central Florida and Weber State games. Great attendance will also help our volleyball team potentially host NCAA tournament matches in the future.

Our athletes are proud of the students they represent and we appreciate your continued support.
