LETTER: Time to step up to the palte

Editor,

First of all, it’s great to be back at such a fun and excellent school. We are all proud to be Aggies, and excited to meet new people and learn a little more. That is why we’re here, to learn. Don’t forget that. Study hard.

But, sports are what make it fun to go to school here. It’s not a commuter school, so get on the wave, and support the teams. The football team is due for a breakout year, and what better time than when we have the Utes and Cougars at home.

For all you new freshmen out there, come to the games, feel some Aggie spirit, you’ll be hooked for life. Don’t forget the other fun sports, though.

Our lady volleyball team has been awesome the last few years. We play in the top conference in the country. And, women’s volleyball is almost magical with it’s strategy and power plays. Hockey will be starting up in the fall, also. We now have our own hockey rink, so there is no excuse to not driving down a few miles to the North Logan Eccles Ice Center for the games.

Basketball should have another fine season, and we’re as loaded as ever. We’ll win the Big West again, and make another NCAA run, I’m guessing. Sorry if I’ve left off the other sports, if you follow the other excellent sports such as soccer, rugby, etc., then get out there and support them as well. GO AGGIES.

Adam Holt
