Letter to the Editor: Pornography isn’t in the Statesman
Dear Editor,
In regards to the letter on 2-1 about pornography in The Statesman’s advertising, where is it? Is it in regards to the Persian Peacock ads? Because if it is I don’t quite understand this. Their ads have pin-ups, but never pornography.
Pin-ups have been used for years to boost moral, ratings, etc., of things, including the troops that we send to war. If it were pornographic in nature The Statesman would not print it. These adds reveal no “private” parts by any means. Besides, if you have ever been to this store in particular, you would know that they have many things, not just adult oriented toys/undies. If there is porn in The Statesman, then please point it out to me, otherwise, I am lost.
