LETTER: Way to go, Aggie fans
Dear Editor,
While standing at the USU vs. Cal State-Fullerton basketball game last Saturday, I noticed people pointing at a sign above the people in section T of the Spectrum. The sign had printed on it, the words of the Utah State Fight Song. I want to applaud those who were instrumental in putting that banner up. I am sure the goal of that banner is to increase school spirit, and I for one was glad to hear people singing along with the band. The Aggies are having a banner year in athletics and it’s great to see steps like this taken in order to improve the atmosphere our Aggies play in. The crowd can provide an extra player on the floor and give a boost to our players, as is evident by No. 24 of CS-Fullerton and the great “Airball!” chant. ESPN has taken note of our fans and refer to our rowdiness as the “Ag Rag.” We are gaining a reputation for stellar athletic teams and a stellar crowd to match. We can all be proud of that distinction. Good job, Aggie fans, on your support. Together we can help our athletic teams continue their great success. Go Aggies!
