Logan police arrest Nibley man downtown after standoff and sending threatening notes to police
Update Oct. 30
The Logan City Police Department cited 63-year-old David D’addabbo, of Nibley, Tuesday afternoon at the 7-Eleven on 400 North for sending threatening notes to the department.
D’addabbo refused to register his vehicle and told police he would “protect himself and his vehicle at all costs,” said Capt. Tyson Budge.
When police met him at the gas station, they found a loaded firearm in his possession, and Budge said he is a restricted person because of his prior criminal convictions.
Federal court documents show he was convicted of “threatening a federal official” and “corrupt endeavor to obstruct the IRS,” in 2006.
