Logan Summerfest Arts Faire all set for this weekend
The 24th Annual Summerfest Arts Faire runs from June 14-16 in Historic Downtown Logan Utah at Tabernacle Square. The festival opens at 5 p.m. on Thursday June 14 and 10 a.m. Friday and Saturday, remaining open until 10 p.m. each night. Summerfest is a juried art festival, featuring live music, good food, and more than a hundred fine artists whose mediums include oil and watercolor painting, fiber art, acrylics, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, and more. Festivities include a children’s art yard where youngsters can create a variety of arts projects themselves, and a diverse array of live music is scheduled over the three day festival. For the first time, the festival includes a Plein Air painting contest where artists will compete for over $4000 in cash and other prizes with original art featuring Scenes of Cache Valley. The public is invited to meet the artists and bid on the artwork at a reception Thursday, June 14 from 6-8 p.m. at the Bullen Center Gallery, 43 South Main St. The pieces will be on display and available for bid via silent auction through June 16 at 6 p.m. Plein Air participants may register from 7:30-11 a.m. June 13.
