Meteor Shower to show

At 3 a.m. Tuesday, the Leonids Meteor Shower will be seen, unless the weather does not permit.

Scientists and engineers at the Space Dynamics Laboratory will have the opportunity to use some of the equipment recently installed on the observation deck of the new Calibration and Optical Research Laboratory.

SDL’s Pedro Seville said they will be using both visible and infrared technologies to view the shower. Capturing infrared images of the meteors as they burn up in the atmosphere is one of the objectives for those working at SDL, Seville said.
