The Mountain West just announced the 2018-19 Men’s Basketball Conference schedule. Each school will play nine games at home along with nine games on the road, for a total of 18 contests during the regular season.

Conference play will begin on Wednesday, Jan. 2nd, and is set to conclude on Saturday, Mar. 9th before the 2019 Men’s Basketball Championship which is scheduled to take place Mar. 13th-16th in Las Vegas.

The Aggies gained Craig Smith as the new head coach, while Colorado State gained former assistant coach Niko Medved as their new head coach. Fresno State also saw changes in their coaching staff when they announced Justin Hutson as their new head coach. Hutson previously served as an assistant coach at both San Diego State and UNLV.

USU’s first conference game will be on the road against Nevada on Jan. 2nd. The next time the Aggies will see action against Nevada will not be until two months later when Nevada will make an appearance in the Spectrum on Mar. 2nd.

Utah State will only face Boise State and UNLV once this upcoming season instead of the usual two occurences. Last season, USU went a combined 4-1 against the Broncos Rebels and Runnin’ Rebels. The Aggies will take on UNLV at home on Feb. 2nd, while Boise State will have the home court advantage on Feb. 23rd when USU will show up and showdown against the Broncos.
