Museum of anthropology hosts speaker

– In coordination with the 2008 Mountain West Center Songfest, Utah State University’s Museum of Anthropology will host a speaker from Logan’s Islamic Center Saturday, June 28. The guest will present and demonstrate the use of song and music in Islamic religious traditions, contrasting that with song and music found in the home. The guest, Ibrahim Mohammed, will speak at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

USU students and members of the public are invited to the museum any time during the 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday hours.

The USU Museum of Anthropology is on the USU campus in the south turret of the historic Old Main building, room 252. Free parking is available in the adjacent lot, south of the building.
