NBA Power Rankings – Week 13

 

  1. Golden State Warriors 32-14 UP 1

DeMarcus Cousins played his first game in a Warriors uniform this week against the Clippers and finished with 15 points and three 3-pointers. He made more 3-pointers in his debut than every other Warriors starting center had combined since 2001. Golden State takes on the Lakers, Wizards and Celtics this week.

  1. Toronto Raptors 35-13 DOWN 1

Toronto lost to Boston to begin its week then beat Phoenix and Memphis. The Raptors play Sacramento, Indiana, Houston and Dallas this week.

  1. Milwaukee Bucks 33-12 UP 1

Milwaukee had a great week with wins over Miami, Memphis and Orlando. The Bucks take on Dallas, Charlotte and Oklahoma City this week.

  1. Denver Nuggets 31-14 DOWN 1

Denver lost a tough game to Golden State before beating Chicago and Cleveland last week. The Nuggets play Utah, Phoenix and Philadelphia this week.

  1. Indiana Pacers 31-15 SAME

Indiana finished its week 3-1 with wins over Phoenix, Dallas and Charlotte and the lone loss to Philadelphia. The Pacers play Toronto and Memphis this week.

  1. Boston Celtics 28-18 UP 3

Boston had a strong week with wins over Toronto, Memphis and Atlanta while also losing to Brooklyn The Celtics take on Miami, Cleveland and Golden State this week.

  1. Philadelphia 76ers 30-17 SAME

Philadelphia beat Minnesota and Indiana before losing a tough game to the Thunder. The 76ers play Houston, San Antonio and Denver this week.

  1. Oklahoma City Thunder 27-18 DOWN 2

Oklahoma City lost to Atlanta and the Los Angeles Lakers before beating Philadelphia on Paul George’s game-winning four-point play. The Thunder take on New York, Portland, New Orleans and Milwaukee this week.

  1. Houston Rockets 26-19 UP 1

James Harden extended his NBA record of consecutive games with 30 points or more to 19 games while leading the Rockets to wins over the Grizzlies and the Rockets. Houston also lost to Brooklyn last week. The Rockets play Philadelphia, New York, Portland and Orlando this week.

  1. Utah Jazz 26-21 UP 1

Utah has been the hottest team in the NBA over the past two weeks, winning every game it’s played and riding a six-game win streak. The Jazz play Portland and Denver this week before a home and home with Minnesota.

  1. Portland Trail Blazers 28-19 DOWN 3

Portland finished 2-1 last week with wins over Cleveland and New Orleans with a loss to Sacramento. The Blazers take on Utah, Oklahoma City, Phoenix and Atlanta this week.

  1. San Antonio Spurs 27-17 SAME

San Antonio went 2-2 last week, beating Dallas and Minnesota while losing to the Hornets and Clippers. The Spurs play Philadelphia, New Orleans and Washington this week.

  1. Brooklyn Nets 24-23 UP 4

Brooklyn had a strong week with big wins over Boston, Houston and Orlando. The Nets take on Sacramento, Orlando and New York this week.

  1. Sacramento Kings 24-22 UP 4

Sacramento beat Portland and Detroit last week while also losing to Charlotte. The Kings play Brooklyn, Toronto, Memphis and the Los Angeles Clippers this week.

  1. Los Angeles Clippers 25-21 DOWN 2

Los Angeles had a rough week with losses to New Orleans, Utah and Golden State but fished its week on a high note with a win over San Antonio. The Clippers take on Dallas, Miami, Chicago and Sacramento this week.

  1. Miami Heat 22-22 DOWN 2

Miami struggled last week with losses to Milwaukee and Detroit before managing to beat Chicago. Miami plays the Celtics, Clippers, Pistons and Raptors this week.

  1. Los Angeles Lakers 25-22 DOWN 2

Los Angeles lost Lonzo Ball due to an ankle injury for 4-6 weeks when he rolled his ankle in a loss to the Rockets on Saturday. The team can’t afford many more injuries before it starts imploding. The Lakers take on Golden State, Minnesota and Phoenix this week.

  1. Minnesota Timberwolves 22-24 DOWN 2

Minnesota lost to Philadelphia and San Antonio last week but finished its week with a win over Phoenix. The Timberwolves play Phoenix and the Los Angeles Lakers before a home and home with Utah.

  1. New Orleans Pelicans 21-25 SAME

New Orleans had a good win over the Clippers before losing to Golden State and Portland last week. The Pelicans take on Memphis, Detroit, Oklahoma City and San Antonio this week.

  1. Dallas Mavericks 20-25 SAME

Dallas lost both games in its short week against San Antonio and Indiana. The Mavericks play Milwaukee, the Los Angeles Clippers, Detroit and Toronto this week.

  1. Washington Wizards 19-26 UP 1

Washington beat the Knicks in London last week thanks to a goaltending call on Alonzo Trier with less than a second left in the game. The Wizards play Detroit, Golden State, Orlando and San Antonio this week.

  1. Charlotte Hornets 22-24 UP 2

Charlotte had a strong week with wins over San Antonio, Sacramento and Phoenix and a lone loss to Indiana. The Hornets have a short week with games against Memphis and Milwaukee.

  1. Detroit Pistons 20-25 UP 2

Detroit had a rough week losing to Utah, Orlando and Sacramento while beating Miami. The Pistons take on Washington, New Orleans and Dallas.

  1. Orlando Magic 19-27 DOWN 3

Orlando lost to Brooklyn and Milwaukee last week but also managed to beat Detroit. The Magic take on Atlanta, Brooklyn, Washington and Houston this week.

  1. Memphis Grizzlies 19-27 DOWN 2

Memphis was terrible last week, losing to Houston, Milwaukee, Boston and Toronto. The Grizzlies play New Orleans, Charlotte, Sacramento and Indiana this week.

  1. Atlanta Hawks 14-31 SAME

Atlanta finished 1-1 last week, beating Oklahoma City and losing to Boston. The Hawks play Orlando, Chicago and Portland this week.

  1. Phoenix Suns 11-37 SAME

Phoenix had a tough week, losing games to Indiana, Toronto, Charlotte and Minnesota. The Suns take on Minnesota, Portland, Denver and the Los Angeles Lakers this week.

  1. New York Knicks 10-34 UP 1

New York lost its only game of the week to Washington in London after Alonzo Trier got called for goaltending at the end of the game, putting the Wizards up by one with under a second left. The Knicks play Oklahoma City, Houston, Brooklyn and Miami this week.

  1. Chicago Bulls 10-36 DOWN 1

Chicago lost all three games it played last week against the Lakers, Nuggets and Heat. The Bulls play the Hawks, Clippers and Cavaliers twice this week.

  1. Cleveland Cavaliers 9-38 SAME

Cleveland finished last week winless with losses to Portland, Utah and Denver. The Cavaliers take on Boston, Miami and Chicago twice this week.
