Noted comedian comes to Logan

Only three words are needed to describe the man of the night: clean, creative, comedian.
His name is Brian Regan, and he had the crowd rolling all night long at the Ellen Eccles Theatre in Logan last Thursday and Friday.
Regan has wowed and amazed fans for years with his classic clean act that includes everything from how to successfully cook Pop-Tarts to the gray in airplane pilot’s hair. He is famous for his clever and very witty comedy act that has no profanity, making this a very great show for the whole family. Regan performed two sold-out shows at the Eccles Theatre in Logan Thursday night. He kept the crowd extremely entertained through his prancing on stage and his occasional obscure faces, these actions made his jokes come to life.
His act Thursday night was made up of many things, including the smell of bad perfume, mouth guards in football, the toys at McDonald’s, how to deal with the problem of your neighbors putting up wind chimes and “Dora the Explorer.” All of these things came from real-life experience, something that the audience could relate with because everyone has been there sometime in their life. By mid-show the crowd was rolling and clenching their sides.
Regan hails from Miami, Fla. He is married and has two children, this being another place he draws from for material to use in his act. Regan’s publicity manager, Michael O’Brien, said Regan watched famous comedy routines such as Johnny Carson, The Smothers Brothers and Steve Martin to learn from the best. He made his first appearance on “David Letterman on The Late Show” in 1995, becoming a regular to this day, reaching his 20th appearance with David Letterman.
Regan also appeared on Comedy Central where he has performed two of his many acts, the first one being “Brian Regan: Standing Up,” and his more recent act, “Epitome of Hyperbole.” Regan has received many awards over the years, such as his 1996 American Comedy Award for Best Comedian. This is an extremely deserving award for a gifted man who is able to create comedy that is lively and sharp.
