Old Barn Community Theatre goes shoeless

When classes get you stressed, try walking barefoot in a park.

If that doesn’t work, go see the production of “Barefoot in the Park” by Neil Simon at the Old Barn Community Theatre.

Simon is one of the most successful writers in the world, according to Becky

Tomlinson, one of the directors of “Barefoot in the Park.”

“His plays have invigorated many a stage with touching stories and zany characters, but possibly his greatest contribution has been the ability to create humor from the lives and troubles of everyday people,” Tomlinson said.

You can see “Barefoot in the Park” until Oct. 15, Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. There is a matinee showing on Oct. 8 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults and $6 for senior citizens and children 12 and under.

Call ahead for reservations at 458-BARN (2276).

The theater is a non-profit community theater in 1998. Operation is made possible through donations, ticket sales and the help of community volunteers.

“The Old Barn Theatre, Inc. continues, since 1998, to provide quality entertainment to the residents of northern Utah and southern Idaho,” the theater’s board of trustees wrote in a letter to patrons.

“A Christmas Carol” will begin at the theater Dec. 2 and will run until Dec. 17.
