One person dead after being shot in Logan

A 23-year-old man is dead after being shot with a 9 mm pistol in an apartment, the Logan City Police Department confirmed.

Police responded to a call around 6:30 a.m. that a shooting had occurred near Riverbend Road.

Police have identified the man shot as Dylan Milian.

According to a Logan City Police Department press release, officers arrived at the scene and found “two adult females performing life-saving measures on an adult male.”

Officers took over CPR until paramedics arrived. Life-saving efforts provided by the Logan City paramedics were unsuccessful and Milian was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said Milian used to date one of the female adults who is the current girlfriend of the man suspected of shooting him.

Police say the 26-year-old suspect Jeremy Boyle is in custody and is cooperating with police as the investigation continues. No arrests have been made.

“We don’t believe that anybody else is in danger,” Budge said.

Budge said there were four children, all under the age of seven, inside the apartment when the shooting happened.

“It’s a very tragic incident right now,” Budge said. “A lot of high emotions. It’s just unfortunate.”

Police say this type of incident is uncommon in Logan and that they do not deal with shootings very often.

Police say the Cache County Attorney will handle the case once the investigation is complete.
