One too many

I try not to be too picky. I don’t insist on having a perfect student newspaper. I can forgive the fact that sometimes an article is listed as being on page 11 and then printed on page 5. I don’t mind the fact that cartoons are regularly reprinted in successive issues of the Statesman. In the same issue where someone sent a letter to the editor about environmentalist groups wasting paper by writing articles in the Statesman I did find it rather sad that the Statesman included Slightly Off Center from last week and Forum from last week. I have no problem with either of these columns, but there is no reason to print them twice. That’s a real waste of paper. If Dennis didn’t write a column this week then don’t print it. If he did why didn’t you print it. The same comment applies to the Forum. Small problems I try to overlook, but this wasn’t exactly small – it was half a page. Fix this and I’m sure the environmentalists, Grahm Theobald and I would all be happier.David Miller787-8800528736590
