OUR VIEW: Exec. Council should bring back help desk

Imagine entering the Taggart Student Center for the first time. It can be quite a daunting building. True, it provides a myriad of services. Think about it, students can access advising, tuition payments, financial aid, student government and a variety of eateries. But those services are scattered among four floors.

Wouldn’t it be nice to find out where everything in the building is at one glance?

In order to eliminate possible confusion for visitors and new students on campus and maybe even the occasional seasoned student, why not bring back the help desk?

The help desk was an information desk for the TSC and the rest of the campus. It is sorely missed.

The Associated Students of Utah State University Executive Council will be voting on a bill to partly fund the help desk for coming years. Students should let their college senators and vice presidents know they would like USU’s campus to be a little easier to use. Do it before Tuesday’s meeting on the third floor at 5:30 p.m.

Who hasn’t had a question about the location of something in the TSC or on campus for that matter? The help desk will be a boon to the population at USU. Don’t let anyone remain wandering and/or wondering about the TSC.
