OUR VIEW: Let your Aggie Pride shine

It’s time to celebrate. Every year, university campuses nationwide gear up for the return of students to school. Utah State University is no exception.

This week is Homecoming Week and should not be overlooked. It is a time to seal the friendships made in the first weeks of school (maybe even with a kiss on the A) and enjoy the heritage USU has to offer.

Get out and have fun. Enjoy the brisk air the new season brings. Don the best navy blue you can find and show the world what an Aggie looks like.

Homecoming is a time for alumni to return to their old stomping grounds and reminisce about the wonderful times they had at the alma mater. Current students should be actively trying to make memories of their own so they can enjoy this time of year, too.

The Associated Students of USU and the Student Activities Board have already had plenty of opportunities for students to relax this week and have fun. You may have already missed the chance for free food and street painting, but there is more fun on its way. Don’t forget to wear your blue at the football game Saturday. Find a special someone to lock lips with at midnight Friday, or just smooch anyone. That’s what becoming a True Aggie is all about, isn’t it?

And then there’s the dance. If you’ve got the cash, grab a date and swing the night away.

This is everyone’s chance to show their colors and make some memories.
