No one was injured after an Aggie Shuttle Bus was hit by a car that ran a red light Monday night around 6:30 p.m.

While trying to stop on the icy roads during the winter storm that evening, the driver of a car lost control and ran a red light, said a USU student who chose to remain anonymous. The student was on the bus when the accident occurred.

The accident happened at the traffic light on 1200 East and 700 North when the shuttle bus was making a left turn onto 1200 East. The source said when the bus was hit, the driver lost control and fishtailed into the curb and the bus got stuck. The car that hit the bus also got stuck in a curb by the Fine Arts Building, the student said.

There were about 20 people in the bus when it was hit. No one was reported as injured or in serious condition. Most were just a bit shaken up, the source said.

The police responded quickly to accident and were at the site within a few minutes.
