Photographer Spotlight: Hailey Larson

Sophomore Hailey Larson is a photography major at Utah State and loves all things photojournalism. She is from Orem, Utah, and when she isn’t taking photos, she is reading or watch movies, and occasionally, even on the ski slopes! This is her first year working for the Utah Statesman and she says it has been a great experience working for Student Media.

Recently, she has been dabbling in film photography, which requires a lot of knowledge of mechanics and “the frenzy of film.” She is also a big fan of fine arts photography and messing around on photoshop.

Her first choice for dinner would be Italian or Thai, but Larson will never turn down a mean cup of Ramen!

Her favorite genre of music ranges from 1940s jazz to 1980s hard rock and even some modern-day pop. Her favorite bands include The Beatles, The Cure, Queen, Elton John, and many, many more.

Check out some of her favorite photos she’s taken while working for the Statesman.
