Despite scoring its best team score of the season, USU lost to the University of Denver, 195.900-194.900, at Hamilton Gymnasium on Saturday night.

The score was also Denver’s best of the year – and fourth-best ever as a team.

USU had to count two falls, one on the beam and one on the floor. USU still scored a season-best on the beam with a 48.900.

Pioneer freshman Ashley Shible scored a perfect 10.0 on the vault and broke the school’s all-around record before tallying a 9.775 on the uneven bars, a career-high-tying 9.85 on the balance beam and a career-high 9.9 on the floor exercise for a four event total of 39.525.

Aggie Nicole Kilpatrick had a break-out performance in the all-around, scoring a career-high 39.225. She also had the best beam score in the meet (9.9).

Megan Woolstenhulm was the best on the vault for the Aggies, tying her career high with a 9.825. Floor specialist Allison Rosenthal also hit a career high, with 9.85 on the event. Tina Ellis had an off night in the all-around but led USU on the bars.
