April 12, 2002 Utah State University Campus police received a complaint of a littering incident near Old Main. Campus police will attempt to locate the offender and take appropriate action.
A university employee made a delayed report of an assault taking place about three weeks ago in the Taggart Student Center. The complainant did not want to pursue charges but did want a record of the incident.
Campus police responded to a noise complaint east of the Junction. There was a USU-sponsored dance underway. The music was turned down.
Campus police responded to the Crops Research Building on a report of a skateboarder doing tricks. The individual riding the skateboard was fined for violation of university policy and the skateboard was impounded.
April 13, 2002 Campus police responded to Moen Hall on a telephone harassment call. Police are investigating the incident.
April 14, 2002 Campus police assisted Logan City officers with a loud party. The owners of the residence were warned about the noise. No police action was taken.
April 15, 2002 Campus police responded to a fire in the Family Life Building. The fire was caused by wax melting on a stove. There was no permanent damage to the building. One individual was treated at the Student Health Center for minor burns to her hand.
Campus police responded to a traffic accident involving three vehicles in the
A-6 parking lot by Old Main. No injuries
were reported. Campus police received a report of water balloons being thrown at a pizza delivery person from a Valley View Tower window. The subject could not be located when police arrived.
April 16, 2002 A Facilities maintenance worker reported someone has been going behind her and leaving messes after she has cleaned. Campus police are investigating.
Campus police received a report of four hubcaps which were stolen from a blue Toyota Camry in the Valley View Tower parking lot. The estimated value of the hubcaps is $80.
Campus police received a 911 hang-up call from the University Inn. Police contacted the caller and determined 911 had been accidentally dialed while trying to
make a call off campus. Campus police assisted Logan City police in stopping a wanted vehicle. Logan City officers arrested one individual for the attempted unlawful purchase of alcohol.
An individual reported to campus police her ex-husband called and threatened her. She wanted the incident documented in case she had further problems with him.
April 17, 2002 Campus police assisted Logan City police with a suicidal individual with a gun who was in a residence east of campus. Campus police assisted with traffic control until the incident was resolved.
April 18, 2002 Campus police received a report of a vehicle which rolled out of its parking space. The vehicle was pushed back into a parking space and secured.
