Friday, Sept. 24, 2004

*USU Police responded on a delayed report of a suspicious person who was sleeping in a office in the Gun Shed building. Contact was made with the responsible party and she was informed that she cannot sleep or let anyone else sleep on school premises.

*USU Police responded to a report of theft of university property. An individual stole the parking gate arm from the B-East Parking Lot.

Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004

*USU Police responded to the Logan City Cemetary on a report of individuals throwing water balloons at passing traffic. When police arrived at the cemetary and made several passes but did not see anyone.

Sunday, Sept. 26, 2004

*USU Police responded to a report of vandalism in the Cazier Science and Technology Library. On arrival, police discovered a door to a bathroom stall had been ripped off its hinges. Facilities will clean up and a work order to repair the door will be submitted.

Monday, Sept. 27, 2004

*USU Police to a theft report at the Jones Education building. An employee stated that someone had stolen a sticker that was attached to a poster on her office door.

*USU Bomb Squad was called to assist Brigham City Police with some old explosives that had been recovered from a residence.

Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004

*USU Police responded to a spill of formaldehyde and acetic acid in a lab in the Biology and Natural Resources Building. The Logan City Fire and Hazmat team responded and cleaned up the spill.

Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2004

*USU Police responded to Old Main for an animal problem. The police found a cat and took it to Cache Meadows.

Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004

*USU Police responded to 850 N. 500 East to assist Logan City Police with a subject who was running from an officer. USU Police secured the area around those streets for Logan Police to searched the block for the suspect. *USU Police responded to a fire alarm at Reeder Hall. The alarm was activated by a resident who was cooking and burned his pancakes. The alarm was silenced and reset without any further problems.
