Police Blotter, March 2

Sunday Feb. 22

• While working a special assignment at Mardi Gras in the TSC, USU and Logan City Police encountered an individual who was intoxicated and disorderly in public. The individual started to complain of breathing problems and an ambulance was called to check him out. The individual was cited for intoxication and released to a roommate who agreed to watch over him.

•  USU Police arrested a man who decided to go off-roading on university property located at 1400 E. 700 North. Significant property damage was caused to the sod and the trees at that location. The Jeep the man was operating became stuck and a tow truck was called to remove the vehicle. The man was booked into jail.
Tuesday, Feb. 24
 
• USU Police responded to a lewdness incident in the HPER building. The case investigation will continue.

Wednesday, Feb. 25

• USU Police responded to the San Juan Hall on a suspicious order. Upon further investigation, police arrested one individual who was smoking marijuana in his room. The offender was arrested for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and then released.

• USU Police responded to a report of an individual following a resident home in a car. Police responded but were unable to locate the individual. Police are investigating.
Thursday, Feb. 26

• USU Police were advised that a vehicle parked in the premium B parking had a stolen parking pass in the window. USU Parking tire locked the vehicle. The suspect later came into the police department and admitted to having a stolen vehicle pass. The suspect was issued a misdemeanor citation and released.

• An unknown individual broke a glass picture in the Spectrum. Police are investigating.
