* USU Police responded to a fire alarm at the Outdoor Recreation Center. Technicians had plugged in two irons they use to wax skis and turned the heat up in an attempt to burn the excess wax off the irons. The irons started to smoke and set off the fire alarm.
Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004
* USU Police received a complaint that a man had exposed his buttocks while near the east doors of the Taggart Student Center, while waiting to gain entrance to the Halloween Howl event. The individual was arrested and charged with lewdness.
* While at the Halloween Howl, USU Police observed a 19-year-old man who was unsteady and was having a hard time standing. The individual admitted to drinking alcohol and a breath test also indicated that he was very intoxicated. The individual was booked into the Cache County Jail.
* USU Police responded to the Natural Resources Building on a suspicious incident. A group of individuals had been seen moving the two bears that are in and near the breezeway between the NR and Biology and Natural Resouces buildings. The group had been surprised by the complainant, and fled the scene.
* A 19-year-old individual who was intoxicated gave false personal information to the police while attending the Halloween Howl. She was arrested and booked into the Cache County Jail for minor in possession of alcohol and false information to a police officer.
Monday, Nov. 1, 2004
* USU Police responded to Aggie Village on an animal problem. One of the tenants had found a small, grey kitten in the stairwell of their building. Police impounded the cat.
Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004
* USU Police responded to the Merrill Library for a report of a squirrel in the basement. The squirrel will be trapped and then set loose outside the building.
* USU Police responded to Richards Hall on possible drug use. On arrival, police checked the apartment for the smell that had been complained about, but were not able to identify any particular odor. No further action was taken.
* USU Police received a fire extinguisher that was found along side of the road. The extinguisher appeared to have been thrown from a vehicle. This investigation is continuing.
