POLICE BLOTTER: Sept. 23 to Sept. 28
Friday, Sept. 23
• USU Police responded to an intrusion alarm at the Space Dynamics Lab, Building 3. The responsible person determined that the alarm was set off by the wind. The alarms were reset.
• USU Police met with a complainant who stated she has an old boyfriend that was harassing her and she wanted to file a report so if any thing happened in the future it would be documented.
• USU Police received a report of a stolen bike from the front of the education building. A student forgot to lock up his Trek bike and someone stole it.
• USU Police assisted Parking Enforcement with a criminal mischief incident in the Big Blue Parking Terrace. A few individuals reported two white vehicles driving recklessly on the top level.
• USU Police assisted North Park Police Department on a traffic accident with injuries. USU police assisted in diverting traffic away from the accident.
Saturday, Sept. 24
• USU Police responded on a report of a suspicious person near the fountain south of the TSC. Police contacted two male individuals that checked out.
• USU Police responded to a possible minor in possession of alcohol incident at Richard’s Hall. No evidence of alcohol was found.
• Police assisted a student who was cutting the lock off of her bike because the student forgot the combination.
• USU Police received a report of a USU student drinking alcohol in the student section at the USU football game. The person was identified as being over the age of 21 and consumed alcohol prior to coming to Romney Stadium.
• USU Police contacted an underage female in Romney Stadium who had been consuming alcohol. The female was issued a misdemeanor citation for minor in possession of alcohol.
• USU Police was advised of a USU band member who was having chest pain. Medical was called and treated him.
• USU Police responded to a disorderly conduct incident at Romney Stadium during the USU vs. CSU football game. Police made contact with the suspect and had the suspect leave.
• USU Police responded to a harassment incident that occurred at the Homecoming dance on campus.
Sunday, Sept. 25
• USU Police responded to a report of an individual stuck in an elevator. Upon arrival, the individual was outside the elevator. However, the elevator was not in operating order. The power was turned off until an elevator technician could repair the elevator the next day.
• USU Police responded to the engineering building on a report of a stalking complaint. The victim is a female employee of USU.
Monday, Sept. 26
• USU Police responded to the roadway on the north side of the USTAR building on a complaint that someone had pushed some decorative stones out of their proper places.
• USU Police responded to the human resources building on a complaint that there was a small camping tent on the northwest corner of the building. Police took the tent down and placed it into safekeeping.
• USU Police assisted an individual in exiting the Aggie Terrace. The individual stated he forgot to take a ticket when he came into the terrace earlier in the day and was unable to exit the terrace. The individual was issued a parking citation to pay the day rate for the terrace and was then police assisted him in exiting the terrace.
Tuesday, Sept. 27
• USU Police responded to the Ray B. West Building on a male individual who fainted in class. Paramedics arrived and transported the individual to the Logan Regional Hospital for further evaluation
Wednesday, Sept. 28
• USU Police assisted a student by giving the student words of wisdom in regards to drug abuse and suicidal thoughts.
