Review: Best pizza in town

There are too many pizza places in Logan to count, let alone try them all. So how do you know which one is best? No need to fear, I have taken it upon myself to try some of the most popular pizzerias in Logan for you, and here’s how they compare.

Fox’s Pizza Den – 3/10 (Don’t bother)

Fox’s Pizza Den is a small chain restaurant, located at 339 N Main St. I ordered a 9” inch buffalo chicken pizza, and it cost me about $9. I found the pizza to be rather bland, especially for a buffalo chicken pizza, and was rather unimpressed. The price makes it one of the cheaper pizzerias on the list, but I still could not justify the cost. I would say the quality of the pizza is comparable to that of Little Caesar’s or Domino’s, but it was more expensive. I like thin crust pizzas, and the crust was a little thick for me. Overall, the pizza was not bad, but not worth the cost considering the alternatives.

The Factory Pizza – 6/10 (Fun atmosphere, expensive pizza)

Located underneath the Cache Bar at 119 S Main St, The Factory is a hole-in-the-wall kind of place. It was probably the most expensive out of all the places that I tried. I got a 10” hawaiian pizza for $14. It was delicious and they were pretty generous with all of the toppings, but I didn’t like how thick the crust was. I thought it was a little overpriced, but with a fun atmosphere and friendly staff. This would be a great place to go with friends, and it is open until 11p.m. which is unusual for Logan.

Jack’s Wood Fired Oven- 10/10 (Fancy date pizza)

Located at 256 N Main St., Jack’s has to be the most delicious out of all of the places I tried. They have very unique ingredients like peach syrup, prosciutto, and even a pizza with a fried egg. I got the love triangle, which has BBQ sauce, huckleberry chicken, bacon, red onion, peppadew pepper, honey, parmesan and cilantro. At $16 for a 12” pizza, it was fairly pricey, but worth it. It was easily my favorite pizza out of the four. I have been there twice and all of the pizzas I tried were amazing. The pig and the peach is another one of my favorites. The unique flavors as well as the delicious thin crust makes Jack’s a special occasion treat. Jack’s also features live music on Monday, Friday, and Saturday nights.

Lucky Slice Pizza- 10/10 (Most bang for your buck)

Lucky Slice is located just off Main Street, at 64 Federal Ave. Like Jack’s, they feature a more unique set of options, including a monthly rotating flavor. Past flavors include a thanksgiving pizza with sweet potato, turkey, and cranberry dressing, and a pad thai pizza with bean sprouts, peanut sauce, and lime. As the name implies, they sell pizza by the slice. I got a slice of chicken club pizza, with spinach, bacon and ranch drizzle for $5. The slice was huge, I loved the thin crust, and I definitely felt like I got my money’s worth. My favorite thing about Lucky Slice is their student meal deal, which includes a slice of either cheese or pepperoni, a breadstick and a drink for $5. Lucky Slice is probably my favorite place to go for lunch, because it is affordable and delicious.
