Sit back, Relax and Eat!
Thousands of people across the United States recently celebrated March 14, also known as Pi Day. The title comes from the date written in its numerical form, 3/14, much like the 3.14 that begins the never-ending mathematical constant
Dominos has a pizza “pi” special and many students made their own pizza or pies to enjoy such an occasion.
In light of such a delicious holiday, here are some other scrumptious dates to remember.
-March 24, Chocolate Covered Raisin Day: Celebrate by removing the nutritional contents of a grape and covering it in luscious milk chocolate.
-March 25, Waffle Day: Here’s to the better version of a pancake, equipped with divots to hold all the syrup and butter to your heart’s content.
-March 27, Spanish Paella Day: Shout out to an amazing culture with great food. Coming from summertime in Spain, this dish often contains chicken, rabbit, snails and multiple kinds of beans.
-April 12, Grilled Cheese Day: A crispy grilled Cheese and Tomato soup is perfect on a gloomy day. Next time it rains, bread, butter and cheese is all you need.
-April 16, Eggs Benedict Day: Half of society has no idea what eggs benedict is and the other half have very mixed feelings about it. Poach an egg, grab some hollandaise sauce and put them on some toasted English muffins.
-April 22, Jelly Bean Day: There are over 60 flavors of Jelly Belly© beans, so grab some friends and try them all!
-April 26, Pretzel Day: Too many pretzels may leave a knot in your stomach, but a handful of these delicious baked goods can be very satisfying.
-May 6, Beverage Day: Without water, people would die. Soda and other beverages just make drinking more fun.
-May 11, Eat What You Want Day: What a perfect day to come just after finals week. Sit back, relax, and eat whatever you want!
