SPECIAL COLLECTIONS SUMMER HOURS AT UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY

Special Collections and Archives, a division of University Libraries at Utah State University, has shifted to new summer operating hours, announced director Ann Buttars. The area, located on the main floor of the Merrill Library at Utah State University, will be open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., May 7 through Aug. 25. Saturday hours can be arranged by appointment one week in advance, except on holiday weekends.

Special Collections and Archives provides a number of services and advice to the university and the community at large. Its mission is to collect, preserve and make available the special collections materials of the Utah State University Libraries, including manuscripts, photographs, rare books and serials, book arts, art works on paper and the permanent, historical records of the university.

Materials kept in Special Collections and Archives do not circulate and must be used in the division’s reading room during operating hours.
