Spring into Summer Coke Giveaway
Student gathered Friday at the Hub in the hopes of winning a variety of prizes from the Spring into Summer Coke Giveaway.
Dining Services marketing manager Jaime Bradford was the official spokes person for the raffle and said to enter people must buy a Coke product at the Hub and get a Coke card stamped, Bradford said.
“Or you can go to any of the Housing showrooms and get a stamp,” Bradford said.
Students who were present at the raffle Friday were given a free card and stamp just for being there.
Bradford said, “You can enter as many times as you want but you can only win once.”
Many of the students waiting for the raffle were also rewarded with door prizes like t-shirts, cup holders, and hats. The main prizes given out Friday were an iPod touch, PlayStation III, $100 is diners account money and a $250 housing credit, Bradford said.
“We’d like to thank Coke for sponsoring it,” Bradford said. “They bought all the prizes.”
Students did not have to be present to win, which was a good thing for all of the winners because not one of them was present to receive their prize.
Bradford said the purpose of the contest is,”to promote housing and dining and coke on campus.”
Freshman Rob Lowe was one of the several students who waited to win a prize but went away empty handed.
“There will be one last drawing on Thursday the 24th at noon on the patio,” Bradford said.
Another incentive to be present at the last drawing is a free Scotsman dog.
“There will be free Scotsman dogs for the first 200 people at the the drawing,” Bradford said.
Lowe said that he will be sure to be there to see if he will win next time.
