Statesman shouldn’t sell out standards
Editor,
I am very offended and literally sick when I know that there are advertisements that are so degrading in our newspaper and that innocent people are being exposed to these things when all they want to do is read the school newspaper.
Since when did we start selling our standards for people who will pay money
for advertising spots?
This is not right. Even though they are paying money to advertise it is still
in control of the newspaper staff!
Those images are damaging and the human mind has a hard time getting rid of those graphics. It causes women to think they have to live up to what ever
their husbands or boyfriends are seeing. It is damaging to everyone and for
those who don’t agree they can go see these things somewhere else. I find it odd that the computer services work so hard to protect patrons from having to deal with this, but in just another department away its right there in front of our faces.
Please, I am asking you, NO MORE!!!!!
