Utah Statesman: Why did you choose USU? Adam Rich: I don’t really know. I was accepted, and my best friend goes here.
US: What are your plans after college? Rich: To be a private wealth financier.
US: What’s your favorite thing about USU?Rich: The girls
US: Least favorite?Rich: Cold weather.
US: Where do you see yourself 10 years from now? Rich: Retired and living in a beach house in San Diego.
US: What famous quotation do you live by? Rich: “The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather, a lack of will.” -Vince Lombardi
US: What’s your philosophy of life? Rich: Money can’t buy happiness, but it sure can rent it for a long time.
US: What’s the last movie you rented or saw in the theater? Rich: “White Chicks.” It was hilarious
US: If you had five hours of free time right now, and money wasn’t an issue what would you do? Rich: Play Halo 2.
US: What’s your favorite word? Rich: Touché.
US: Describe your ideal date. Rich: On a yacht on the beach, watching the sunset. Well, either that or playing Halo 2 all night.
US: If your life were a movie, what music would be in the soundtrack? Rich: “In the Club” by 50 cent and “Timber Wolves at New jersey” by Taking Back Sunday.
US: If you could start a band, what kind of music would you play? Rich: Punk.
US: What’s your favorite sound and smell? Rich: Sound of a shotgun. My favorite smell is freshly baked chocolate chip cookies.
US: What characteristics do you look for in a girl you want to date? Rich: 5 feet 8 inches, no wait, 5 feet 6 inches, brown hair, green eyes-wait, scratch that out. Kate Beckinsale looks, laid back personality and can cook.
US: Who do you most admire in your life? Rich: My dad. Because he’s successful, nice, caring and charitable.
US: What TV or movie personality are you most like? Rich: Kramer in “Seinfeld,” because we both go out on a limb.
US: What do you think is the biggest problem in our society today? Rich: Public education. We’re starting to fall behind on educating our youth.
US: What’s five words best describe you? Rich: Outgoing, hardworking, competitive, athletic, laid-back.
US: What’s the strangest thing you’ve seen on campus. Rich: Costumes at the Howl.There were half naked girls everywhere.
US: What’s the biggest risk you’ve ever taken? Rich: Investing in the stock market
US: What’s your deepest darkest fear? Rich: Drowning. If you catch the wrong wave and it slams you the wrong way, you don’t know where you are and you’re disoriented. Sometime you might be going to the surface or you might be going down. Because of this I’m not a huge risk-taking surfer, going for the 20-foot waves. I’m fine with the 6-to-8-foot ones.
US: What’s your dream job? Rich: ESPN anchor. It would be awesome to get paid to talk about sports all day long.
US: What’s your ideal leisure activity: Rich: I like playing golf. Is surfing a leisure activity, because if it is, then its surfing.
US: What were the last three books you read? Rich: “Liars poker,” “Da Vinci Code,” “Harry potter and the Order of the Phoenix.”
US: What advice would you to anyone taking life too seriously? Rich: Things happen that you can’t control, so you just got to enjoy the things that you have and take advantage of what you have.-jrsaunders@cc.usu.edu
